Q: Are campers bunked by age?
A: No. We try to bunk the kids by relationships. We want them to have a great time with their friends. Girls with girls. Boys with boys.

Q: What is the counselor to camper ratio?
A: One counselor to every five or six kids.

Q: Are campers supervised at all time?
A: Yes. A counselor accompanies campers 24 hours a day.

Q: How are campers disciplined?
A: First time: warning; Second time: miss activity; Third time: sent to the camp director. Continued disobedience may result in dismissal from camp.

Q: May I call my camper at camp?
A: Campers can receive phone call only in the case of an emergency. Incoming calls are discouraged out of consideration for other campers and planned activities.

Q: Can I reach someone at camp any time of the day or night in case of an emergency?
A: Yes. The emergency number is 315.376.2640.

Q: Is there a nurse available at all times?
A: Yes. A nurse is on staff 24 hours a days.

Q: Do you supply pain relievers or other over the counter medication if needed?
A: Yes. Over the counter medication will be administered if deemed necessary by the camp nurse, unless otherwise noted on the camper's registration form.

Q: Does my child have to turn medicine in even if he/she knows when to take it and how much?
A: Yes. Campers are allow perscription medications, but these must be turned in upon check in at the campus. It is for the safety of your camper and other campers that we do not allow any camper to dispense their own medication.

Q: How close is the nearest hospital?
A: 20 minutes by car.

Q: Are you able to provide special meals needs such as no sugar, no candy, nothing with red dye in it, no fried foods, etc?
A: Yes, if the child is under medical supervision by doctor or allergic reaction is known, the camp can make provisions for diet restrictions. To ensure special needs are met, you must contact the camp director, Pastor Sam Luce, at least two weeks prior to camp.

Q: How much money do they need to bring?
A: Not more than $20.

Q: Do kids keep their own money?
A: Yes.

Q: What are the specific activities the campers will be doing?
A: Campers will be involved in a variety of activities, including swimming, canoeing, basketball, waterslides, team games, ropes course etc.

Q: How many times a day do you have a worship experience?
A: We have worship experiences twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening.

Q: Are their certified lifeguards on duty?
A: Yes. Certified lifeguards are on duty at all water activities.

Q: Can campers receive mail during their camp stay?
A: Yes. Mail to Camper's Name, Camp Beaver 8884 Buck Point Road, Lowville, NY 13367.
